Shipping Policy
Domestic Shipping Carriers
We use the following carriers to deliver our orders domestically:
USPS Priority Mail (based on weight*)
USPS First Class (based on
weight*. Small packages only. 13 oz and less)
UPS Ground (Flat Rate $8.95 – Price stays the same no matter how much you
order - not available for Hawaii or Alaska)
* Before the final checkout
page you will be shown what the cost of shipping will be, and you will have a
chance to not place your order if you decide not to.
International Shipping
Carriers
We use the following carriers to deliver our orders domestically:
USPS Priority Mail International(based on weight*)
USPS First Class International** (based
on weight* - Small packages only - 4 pounds and less)

page you will be shown what the cost of shipping will be, and you will have a
chance to not place your order if you decide not to.
** Very Slow Method of
Shipping. Has been known to take 6 – 10 weeks for delivery.
Tracking Numbers
If the shipping carrier provides a tracking number, we will update your order
with the tracking information. Please note that some orders using USPS First
Class and USPS First Class International mail will not have accurate tracking
numbers.
Order Fulfillment &
Turnaround Time
All in stock items are usually shipped same or next business day, however
sometimes it might take up to 2 business days of the time you place your order.
If for any reason, other than Back-Order and Pre-Order item order delays (see
below), your order will not be shipped within 2 business days, we will contact
you and let you know.
Back Orders
If an item is back-ordered, we still allow for you to order the item.
Back-Orders are handled the same way as pre-orders. If the item will become
available in the next 30 days, we will hold the entire order and ship the
entire order when all back-ordered items return in stock. If an item will not
be available in 30 days, we will remove the item from the order, ship everything
that is in stock and contact you about the status of the backordered item.
Please keep in mind that many out of stock items will become available again,
usually well under 30 days, but there are some items that are discontinued. If
for whatever reason we know that the item will not become available again, we
will cancel the item from the order, ship everything that is in stock, and
contact you and let you know that the item is not going to become available
again.
Pricing
Prices
are subject to change on back-ordered items. If an item that is on backorder comes back in stock
and because of the exchange rate, taxes, duties, carrier / shipping price
increases, or anything else related to the price of Free Time Hobbies
purchasing the item, we will contact you before processing the order to confirm
the new price.
Any item with a price of $0.00 is either a Place Holder item (a pre-order which has not had a price determined yet) or it is an error. Any item ordered for a value of $0.00 will NOT be shipped for $0.00. You will be contacted with the correct price.
Pre-Orders
Pre-Order items are items that have been announced by the manufacturer, but
have not yet been released to the public for sale. We allow you to place
Pre-Order with us. Sometimes we are able to offer a lower “Pre-Order Special”
price, sometimes we know we are only going to get a limited amount of a certain
item so we allow you to order in advance so we can make sure to get the item
for you, and sometimes it is just conventiant for you to order an item in
advance and not have to worry about not getting the product when it is
released.
If an order is placed with In Stock
and Pre-Order items together, and the Pre-Order item will be released within 30
days, we will hold the entire order until the Pre-Order item arrives, and ship
the entire order together. However, if a Pre-Order item will not be released
within 30 days, it will be removed from the order and a new order will be
created for the Pre-Order item, and the In Stock items will be shipped. Shipping
WILL be charged to both orders.
Return Policy
How To Return An Item
1. Please email sales@freetimehobbies.com to
request a refund authorization.
2. Mail your returned item to:

3. Include in your package a signed letter stating the reason for your return
and the original receipt.
Return Exceptions
Your item must be in its original unused condition to be returned. If the model
kit has been started or painted your return will not be accepted. You must
return the item within 30 days of of the date we shipped the
item.
Restocking Fee
All items are subject to a 15% restocking fee, this will be deducted from your
refund. We also do not refund the original shipping and handling that you paid
on the order. We also do not pay for shipping the item back to us. This
includes not in stock special order items that are canceled
before delivery (If an item is a special order item, it is stated on the
item page)
Damaged or Missing Parts
PLEASE CHECK YOUR KITS UPON RECEIVING THEM. We cannot help with
missing or damaged parts after 30 days of the day that your order is shipped
(40 days for international shipments)
If your item is damaged or missing parts,
please email us at sales@freetimehobbies.com and we will arrange for the items
to be replaced. Please note that we do not have any replacement parts here. All
replacement or missing parts have to come from the Manufacturer, but, we will
make sure you get the items.

information do we collect?
We collect information from you when you register on our site, place an order
or subscribe to our newsletter.
When ordering or registering on our site, as appropriate, you may be asked to
enter your: name, e-mail address, mailing address, phone number or credit card
information. You may, however, visit our site anonymously.
What do we use your information for?
Any of the information we collect from you may be used in one of the following
ways:
• To improve customer service
(your information helps us to more effectively respond to your customer service
requests and support needs)
• To process transactions
Your information, whether public or
private, will not be sold, exchanged, transferred, or given to any other

express purpose of delivering the purchased product or service requested.
• To send periodic emails
The email address you provide for order
processing, will only be used to send you information and updates pertaining to
your order.

you decide to opt-in to our mailing list, you will receive emails that may
include company news, updates, related product or service information, etc.
Note: If at any time you would like to unsubscribe from receiving future
emails, we include detailed unsubscribe instructions at the bottom of each
email.
How do we protect your information?
We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal
information when you place an order or access your personal information.
We offer the use of a secure server. All supplied sensitive/credit information
is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and then encrypted into
our Payment gateway providers database only to be accessible by those
authorized with special access rights to such systems, and are required to keep
the information confidential.

Yes (Cookies are small files that a site or its service provider transfers to
your computers hard drive through your Web browser (if you allow) that enables
the sites or service providers systems to recognize your browser and capture

with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others rights,
property, or safety. However, non-personally identifiable visitor information

Because we value your privacy we have taken the necessary precautions to be in
compliance with the California Online Privacy Protection Act. We therefore will
not distribute your personal information to outside parties without your

As part of the California Online Privacy Protection Act, all users of our site
may make any changes to their information at anytime by logging into their
control panel and going to the 'Edit Profile' page.
Childrens Online Privacy Protection Act Compliance
We are in compliance with the requirements of COPPA (Childrens Online Privacy
Protection Act), we do not collect any information from anyone under 13 years
of age. Our website, products and services are all directed to people who are
at least 13 years old or older.
