This book is 134 pages, has 52 full color original paintings, and 86 new line drwaings by the author, as well as 252 photographs (many never before published). The book includes sections on all USN Capital Ships ordered, canceled, and built by the USN 1941-1963. This volume includes a Chonology of WWII, an overview of the Naval Limitation Traties of 1922-1936. An illustrated introduction and overview of USN Batteship operations in WWII. The book includes the expected section on the USS Arkansas BB33 thru the USS Louisiana BB71. But sections are also included for the canceled USS South Dakota BB49 Class Battleships, and USS Lexington CC1 Class Battlecruisers of 1922. Coverage extends to fully illustrated sections on the Gunnery Ships USS Utah AG16, USS Wyoming AG17, and USS Mississippi AG 128. As well as the original 'as ordered' desgin scheme XVI, 14" gun armed USS North Carolina BB55 Class Battleships of 1937. And, in addition the book also features the USS Alaska CB1 Class of Large Cruiser.
